In order to understand your needs and expectations, we visit the place where you’re
going to work. We’ve meet the appropriate decision makers, fellow physicians and
even community leaders. Our objective is to help match you to a physician job opportunity
and community where you’d be successful. Among the key factors we consider are includes
the population-to-physician ratio, a description of your basic job duties, general
political considerations, review of the past and present medical community, contractual
considerations, and the interviewing and negotiating process.

schools, et. al.) information as possible. The foremost question on the mind of any

Personal Interviews
If we have a position that might be the right fit for you, we’ll take the time to
get to know you. We’ll begin with a phone conversation and provide you with details
on the physician job opportunity. We’ll chat with you and your spouse, if appropriate,
to determine the compatibility of professional, personal and lifestyle goals. Once
we’ve done a preliminary match, we’ll validate your license, conduct references
and two physician disciplinary databank checks. If everything’s in order, the Jackson
& Coker consultant will sit down face-to-face with you and your spouse, if appropriate.
The J&C consultant will learn more about your professional goals as well as
your family’s needs. We’ll then put together detailed information for a visit to
the potential employer and the community.
On-Site Visit
The on-site visit is structured to meet your specific needs and those of your spouse
and family, if applicable. You will receive a written itinerary with many details
available about your visit. We’ll help you with all the arrangements and make sure
your visit is a successful one. After you return home, we’ll follow up and see if
you’re interested in the position. If everything goes well, we’ll begin processing
your hiring.
Agreement Negotiation
Jackson & Coker will be working directly with you to smooth out the process
of getting everything just right for your hiring. We serve as a filter and facilitator
to work through sensitive and routine issues in a timely manner. With your approval,
we then secure a mutually beneficial work agreement.
Follow-Up Service
Our consultative service continues even after the agreement is signed. We will work
with you to assist in your family’s relocation; we’ll help with moving arrangements
and applications for hospital privileges and state licenses, if need. Our commitment
goes beyond the handshake to ensure that you are satisfied with your new position.
